Workshops, Workshops, and More Workshops!

I have been teaching wire working workshops at Bella Beads since September of 2007 and have had increasing class attendance in recent workshops! I really enjoy being able to share my wire working skills with people from the community! I currently teach four different workshops and am thinking about a new one for the summer. I am working on the plans for a wire wrapped copper bracelet workshop, which I think will be a big success. Here are some details about the current workshops I am teaching:

Basic Wire Working

Essential techniques covered, such as a basic loop and wrapped loop, used in earring and pendant making. You will create various earrings and pendants in class that you will get to keep. This class also covers how to make a scroll. Included with the class is an extensive packet of information created by Beth with definitions to a variety of terms associated with wire working, hand drawn step-by-step pictures of how to make a wrapped loop, and written instructions covering all of the techniques learned in the class. After the class, you will be able to link beads together for a bracelet or necklace, make earrings, and turn beads into pendants! This class has a limit of 6 students and has been selling out. Intermediate Wire Wrapped Ring

Students will learn to make a variety of rings using a ring mandrel. This workshop is a lot of fun, because students leave with at least 3 rings! Some students catch on quickly and are able to make 5+ rings! Included with the class is an extensive packet of information created by Beth with definitions to a variety of terms associated with wire working and written instructions covering all of the techniques learned in the class. A great class for students who like quick projects! This is a two hour class. Please click here for current dates!

Beach Combers Bliss

Students will learn to make pendants and earrings by free-form wire wrapping found items. This is a great class to make a pendant out of that cool rock or beach glass you found on the shore. Included with the class is an extensive packet of information created by Beth with definitions to a variety of terms associated with wire working and written instructions covering all of the techniques learned in the class. Pre-requisite of basic wire-working class or skill required. Click here for current dates!

Wire Wrapped Pendant

Class members will learn how to wire wrap a cabochon. Several examples in the store. Students will leave with an understanding of how to wire wrap a cabochon, which gauge of wire to use, and written instructions for reference. Included with the class is an extensive packet of information created by Beth with definitions to a variety of terms associated with wire working and written instructions covering all of the techniques learned in the class. Students will get to keep their completed cabochon pendant. Click here for current dates!
