All of the Silver in my jewelry comes from recycled sources!
The ability to create miniature landscapes in metal is fascinating to me. Recent travels have allowed me to physically and visually experience horizons and landscapes throughout the US and parts of Mexico. Seeing mountains for the first time in my life has had a major influence on the designs of my jewelry.
My design process starts with a photograph, then onto the computer where I digitally alter the image into a line drawing. I use this as a template to follow while sawing various shapes and silhouettes from sheet metal.
The use of silhouettes and figure ground reversal is inherent in my designs. I believe that there is a balance to every part of life. There is more than one correct answer to every question, be it a major or minor decision. This is also a symbol of the balance that is sacred in common ground approaches to life.
